Alpuente was a Taifa Kingdom that achieved such importance that it ended up coining its own currency. The activity has not ceased, but the area has become an oasis of peace and tranquillity so looked for in other places. With an extension plagued with villages, Alpuente maintains a certain medieval atmosphere. Its streets and squares are still seeped in a medieval ambience while the ruggedness of its natural surroundings contrasts with the hospitality of its people.

Accesses:	From the CV-355, also known as the “Pista de Ademuz”, take the C-234 exiting at Titaguas. Alternatively you can take the C234 exiting at Villar del Arzobispo in Casinos and continuing past Higueruelas until reaching Yesa, from there, following the signposts to Alpuente
